Multidisciplinary Team
Drop Ener’s goal requires synergy and overlap between materials science engineering, microelectronics, and micro-energy harvesting. It is for this reason that the Drop Ener team is made up of researchers from four research centers belonging to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and two state universities (Universidad de Zaragoza -INMA- and the University of Seville -ICMSE and IMSE -).

Materials Science Institute of Seville (ICMS)
Nanotechnology on Surfaces & Plasma Group
ICMS background relays on plasma and vacuum synthesis and processing of multifunctional surfaces. This is one of the first groups working in Spain in TENGs and is acknowledged for its contributions to the development of superwettable surfaces, including also anti-icing, and repellent and self-cleaning solutions.

Seville Institute of Microelectronics (IMSE-CNM)
Design & Test of Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits
The IMSE-CNM group’s expertise is centered on Analog and Mixed-Signal integrated systems, including biomedical, RF, and data converters. In the past few years, the main application field has been rad-hard design for space and safety-critical missions (NASA and ESA)

Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA)
Laser Applications Lab
INMA has been working on processing methods based on the practical understanding of the laser-matter interaction under different regimes for the past two decades, paying special emphasis on the development of sustainable and scalable processing tools. The group has strong experience in transfer activities of the generated technologies as well as in the leading of high TRL EU projects

Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia
Plasma Chemistry group
iQAC provides expertise on atmospheric plasma treatment and conditioning of surfaces, including polymers, and plasma treatment of liquids
